Ortiz goes after Davros into the UN and learns from tattoos on his body that he is linked to the Russian mob. Renee Walker is hired by CTU to trace back to the Russian mob. Jack, concerned about Renee’s safety decides to join her in the mission.
Fahad stabs a CTU agent, after having his cover blown by Hassan, and escapes, joining a mafia named Bazhaev, who has uranium for sale. Renee meets Ziya Dakhilov, a paroled contact, in the hope of tracking Vladimir Laitanan. But Ziya refuses to help as long as he has his parole bracelet on, so Renee chops off his left thumb despite Ziya and Jack’s protests.
