An exceptionally intelligent computer programmer at the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), she is as good at making you laugh as she is at cracking codes and doing all the geeky stuff. Chloe O’Brian is a close associate and friend of the main character Jack Bauer; she can be said to have blind faith in the man and his abilites. Also she, like her friend, is one of the few persons who can be relied upon when it comes to securing America’s interests.

Chloe is famous in the show for consistently giving excellent results even under pressure. It was her superb computer skills which got her hired in the CTU; earlier she worked for a private company located in Los Angeles.

Though Jack is shown as her best friend in the show, she doesn’t have much in common with her when it comes to personal traits. She often treats others casually and, unlike Jack, only rarely pass by the laws. You may find her irritating at times.

Chloe is a divorcee. She was married to Morris O’Brian just before the third season and the couple split during season 5. She holds resentment against Morris but doesn’t let her personal feelings come in the way of her work; Morris is also a CTU agent. So devoted she is to her work that several times she has risked her job in order to do what she feels is the right thing to do.

In the real world, the actress calls herself Mary Lynn Rajskub. She was born in Detroit and has starred on movies such as Julie & Julia and Sunshine Cleaning. Rajskub is married to Matthew Rolph and has a child.
