What is the story about?

In the series, Sutherland will be father to an autistic child that has a gift of being able to connect events. Sutherland will be trying to ‘read’ what his son is saying to try and prevent some bad events from coming. This would of course be a challenge on its own as his son has never spoken before.

He will be playing the role of Martin Bohm and his son’s name is Jake. Danny Glover will be playing the role of Professor Arthur Dewitt who would act as Martin’s mentor.

But a lot depends on how the producers want to package it especially with the disability of the boy.

Will it be a success?

The show is the brainchild of Tim Kring who is also the creator of ‘Heroes’ and if ‘Heroes’ is anything to go by, then ‘Touch’ may have an uphill mountain to climb for it to become a real hit. They will all have to bring their ‘A’ to have it stick especially at the very first season. There are many shows that didn’t get past their first season because the audience response just wasn’t there.

Strategies to make it a success

But Sutherland does have pulling power. And this could help for the premiere of the season because everybody would want to see him in the new show. So they really have to have a premiere that is worth its weight in gold so that audiences would come back for more. Here’s wishing ‘Touch’ all the success it deserves.

News to the writing firm, from reliable sources close to Bonnouvrier, also disclosed that they are never changing.

Reports from a certain , it says that she was cast in the young and the restless, as the attorney of Sharon, for the murder case.

In other news, Amada is said to be returning to one life to live, after playing in the gossip girl, as Blair. In her new feature, she will be playing the role of Kimberly Andrews. Starlet said that she was looking forward to meet the trouble that will be encountered by Kim, when she returns to town.

Following the news that Jersey Shore will be returning in the 5th season, an MTV has confirmed that there are no plans of casting again, at the moment.

Game of throne has received a new cast member, Natalie Dormer. She will be playing her role as a regular in season two. She will take up the ole of a shrewd, but beautiful young woman, who will be from the influential Tyrell house.

Syfy`s Alpha, which will be kicking off in July the 11th will be home for Valerie Cruz, who will be taking a recurring role. The character t play is an agent from the defense department who is mysterious.

Miranda Lambert, who is a country superstar, will be among the present in the final live results of the voice. He will be performing alongside, Dia Frampton on the 29th of June.

Glover is to portray a professor by the name Arthur De Witt, a specialist on kids specially gifted in dealing with numbers. The show will not premiere till middle of next season and for now; there are no images or previews.

Here’s some news to look forward to: During this fall, Keifer Sutherland may well be making a comeback. But here’s the disappointing bit. Sutherland won’t play an anti-terrorist officer. He’ll appear as a father with an autistic son who can foresee things before they transpire in a project titled Touch. The show is a brainchild of Tim Kring (Heroes) while creating a lot of interest.

However, you can still expect Bauer to be back. The movie series may be made by 20th Century Fox, and Brian Grazer, the producer (owner of Imagine Entertainment that produced the television series) admitted that he’s going to be on that team. During March, the ladies of The View were informed by Sutherland that the film will be released sometime in 2012. Perhaps Kiefer may reconsider his views about the launch period.

Recently she was asked how she felt about her new role and the new show. To this, the 28-year-old actress replied: “I leave my fiance at the altar right off the get-go – That’s not setting up the audience to love me all that much, right?

“But then you find a way to bring it back and get your audience back on your side, and hopefully they will, at the end of the day, root for you. It’s not always about pleasing the audience – sometimes you gotta be a little bit open to the fact that if you’re making the audience feel anything, then it’s worth something.”

Cuthbert also said she was never very enthusiastic about doing comedy; especially after her character on 24 was given a new life during the final episodes. She said: “I wish I could say this is what I was looking for and it came about and it was all perfect – No. I just knew that if I was going to come back to TV, I really wanted to be a part of something that I felt passionate about and that I was excited to go to work to do every day. And at that time this script came, and I read it, and I just felt like it would be different. It was a little daunting, but I kind of got excited about that. When it came my way, I went ‘Wow – this actually might be the right next step.’”

Besides TV serials, Cuthbert has also starred on movies like The Girl Next Door and Captivity. Unfortunately, none of the movies she has been involved in so far has tasted much success. Notwithstanding the fact and optimistic about the future, the actress expressed her desire to act if a movie based on 24 is planned. The actress showed how eager she’s to reunite with Jack Bauer, her father in the series. Excited at the thought of it, she admitted: “I would be lying if I said otherwise. If they need me and I’m going to be a good fit and not just put me in there because they have to, I trust their judgment and will be there on the day – unless I’m shooting Happy Endings of course.”

Talking about the storyline of Happy Endings, Cuthbert said it’s a story that follows a group of people who are friends to a couple which has split up. Then she added: “You tend to see that happen more: two people are dating and then they break off and then it’s like, Oh, we’re going to lose our new friends.

“As you get older those questions and those dilemmas become a lot more serious. The people in your life, you don’t have time really for the acquaintances. You really have to work at your friendships and they mean more, so those things become a little more serious. I think that everyone is going to relate to that in some form.”

“It’s not even just that dynamic that I think is going to work for the show. It’s the fact that all these characters are not perfect. This is what I loved about the character. She’s not perfect and she’s trying to figure things out. That’s going to resonate throughout the season with each character individually – how they’re kind of coping and dealing in all different ways, whether that be because they’re gay or because they can’t lock down a man or they don’t know if they’re still in love.”

Rajskub recently served the mistress of ceremonies at the College Television Awards. There she was asked about her career plans. To this, Rajskub answered:

“I’m working on a couple comedy pilots right now.

“One of them is a sitcom for CBS. We’re doing the pilot right now. It’s called, How to be a Gentleman. Dave Foley and Kevin Dillon are in it. Rhys Darby plays my onscreen husband. It’s really funny.”

Rajskub also added that from now onwards comedy will be her focus. It’s worth noting that the 30-year-old actress started her career with comedy roles.

Besides concentrating on comedy, the actress is also a part of a talk show. She said: “The other [project I'm involved in] is a talk show for E! But I definitely would love to get back into drama at some point.”

When asked if there will be a movie based on 24, her response was: “Everyone’s asking me about it. I hope it happens. I think it would be great. I think the fans are ready for it.”

The actress will play a divorce who has just moved back to her Dallas neighborhood only to find herself becoming the topic of gossip amongst the churchgoing women in the area. The brain behind the idea is Darren Star, the executive producer of Sex and the City.

Nicholas’ name in the serial will be Heather and other big names like Annie Potts, Miriam Shor, Christina Applegate and Jennifer Aspen will accompany her in the pilot episode.

Nicholas has worked in other popular shows including The Gates and 24.

Alan Poul has been asked to assume the position of the director. The role of Robert Harding of Laws of Attraction and The First Wives Club will be to write. He will also be an executive producer with Aaron Kaplan of You, Me and Dupree.

So far so good but Parents Television Council doesn’t think so. They are vociferously arguing that the première episode hurts the feelings of the followers of the world’s most popular religion. They have also called the pilot episode “an affront to women.” The Council has raised the issue with ABC, the channel that would air the show and has expressed its concern about the use of the “b-word.”

Parents Television Council has said: “The ‘b-word’ is toxic and is used to degrade, abuse, harass, bully and humiliate women. And the ‘Christian’ element only adds insult to injury.”

Kiefer, who is a veteran in TV and film, acted as Jack Bauer in 24. His latest gamble into theatre work saw him appearing on New York’s hit show, Broadway yesterday.

Kiefer co stared with Chris Noth, Jason Patric, Brian Cox and Jim Gaffian in That Championship Season.

The play was written by late dramatist Jason Miller, and is set at the home of a basket ball coach. It tells a tale of how former team members of a catholic high school were reunited.

Kiefer’s role is that of James Daley, who is very much unlike Jack Bauer. Daley is an unloved, resentful school principal. He has even lost some of his teeth.

The play will run till May 29 this year.

The actor said: “There is going to be a 24 movie. People come up to me and say they love the show. It’s funny, because I don’t feel like we finished. It’s still such a presence in my life.”

Sutherland had also talked about a movie version of the drama earlier. In a previous interview he had said Tony Scott, the director of Top Gun, was thinking over it. Back then he had also said:

“We will hopefully start next January and Tony Scott is one of the directors who has expressed great interest in doing it,” he said. “I think he would be fantastic. I am really excited to do that.”
