If you are keen on 24, you must have noticed that every of its seasons begin with the first two hours spelling how it is going to be. You get to know the target, the threat and those who are doing everything to counter the threat. You also get to know the personal stakes like when Jack Bauer finds himself in an assassination attempt while he actually was trying to settle down with Kim when they fly out to Los Angeles. You can only compare this initial two hours of any 24 season with going back to an old buddy other than witnessing the birth of a new baby.

The new CTU is of great interest. Probably you would realize that you only know Chloe who is really trying her best to catch up. She has an adorable face but you would be angry with the way no one cares, everyone is selfish. Probably this is the enemy within that you would get to know about.

In just first 2 hours, you will have witnessed a rigid CTU. Brian Hastings, who is the new boss pretends to be dedicated and too busy with ensuring everything is in order and even requests Cole Ortiz to ensure the missile attack is kept dark. But, Freddie Prinze Jr. changes everything. This new boss is preoccupied with Chloe and asks those who haven’t been acquainted to the new style to try and get used to it.

Jack and Chloe gang up to hunt down he who is making life difficult for President Hassan and the distrustful CTU. But, it is obvious that the new headquarters and the technology is not all they need to handle this threat. The right attitude to handle this matter is not the enemy within at all.

There are still 22 more hours of this season, the next 2 would air tonight where it is expected that something constructive would happen in CTU. Something like Arlo getting off his juvenile acts and gets his eyes off Dana’s boobs. There should be more in this season than just the marital strife and the routine politics, at least something different this time.
